KTM’s small Duke is an excellent way for new riders to gain confidence and experience on a lightweight bike that excels both on roads and tracks alike. It is best bike under 3 lakhs in India.
Power
The 390 Duke offers market-leading technology designed to maximize every ride experience. From its advanced traction control system and bi-directional quickshifter, you’ll be able to push yourself as a rider – from advanced traction control to quickshifter bi-directionality – while should any unexpected situations arise, an advanced Supermoto mode is always one click away and ready to provide extra reassurance and control.
The Duke is powered by a 373cc liquid-cooled single cylinder engine that generates 44 horsepower. Its cylinder heads feature two overhead camshafts and four valves for optimal performance, and its Nikasil-coated pistons ensure maximum reliability. In addition, its force feed lubrication system helps reduce mechanical losses through crank case evacuation.
The ultralight trellis frame and cast aluminium swingarm provide agile handling capabilities, while disc brakes with disengageable Bosch ABS are installed for your safety during your journey.
KTM’s ride-by-wire throttle system is the ideal way to channel all that gut wrenching torque. It translates your throttle commands into optimal valve positions for any riding condition – making this bike an excellent mix between road and track riding conditions.
One potential drawback with power delivery is, similar to many European bikes, some play in the throttle before engaging completely. While this won’t cause major frustration for new riders, it could prove costly in terms of lost time on your journeys.
